PURPOSE:To neatly align the edge of a product roll by causing the diameter of a shaft body to shrink for the detachment thereof from each core and the subsequent reduction of a time dedicated to the use of the expensive shaft body, and performing a cutting process between cores. CONSTITUTION:Web bonding liquid is evenly sprayed from a nozzle to the winding start end of a web, and a wide web is wound around a takeup shaft 2 by length corresponding to a product. Then, a mounting and demounting side cap 28 is removed, thereby evacuating the high pressure air from an elastic tube 26. As a result, a shaft body 21 shrinks in diameter, and the outer diameter thereof becomes smaller than the inner diameter of a core 22. In this case, the shaft body 21 can be detached from a web roll for use at the next web winding process. Thus, a time for the use of the expensive shaft body 21 can be shortened, thereby enabling cost to be reduced. Then, after a drying process, the blade of a roll cutter performs a cutting process, passing a small gap formed between each roll 22 of a cored long web roll. In this case, the core 22 is laid at a center and, therefore, the web roll is free from deformation. Furthermore, the edge of a product roll becomes neat. Also, the core 22 detached from the web roll is again assembled with the shaft body 21 for use at the next web winding process. |
