PURPOSE:To uniformize temperature distribution and improve the comfortable property of a living space employing an air-conditioning machine upon starting cooling operation by cooling a human body directly in the initial period of operation and, thereafter, cooling wall surfaces of the space or the like. CONSTITUTION:The titled air-conditioning machine drives a deflecting vane 1 downward, the deflecting vane 5a rightward and the deflecting vane 5b leftward upon starting the cooling operation thereof. In this case, the blow-off air of the machine is concentrated downward. According to this operation, a human body is cooled quickly. When time is elapsed in some degree, the deflecting vanes 5a, 5b are deflected oppositely to blow off the cooling air downwardly while branching it to cool the circumference of the human body as well as the wall surfaces. When the time of operation is elapsed further, the deflecting vane 1 is deflected upwardly. In this case, the blow-off air is distributed horizontally and the whole of a room may be cooled. According to this method, comfortable room cooling effect may be obtained.
