PURPOSE:To prevent freezing of water in a pump when the pump is left in suspension state by always monitoring the temperature of water in the pump by means of a pump apparatus and permitting automatic operation of the pump according to necessity and utilizing the water-temperature rise due to shut-off operation. CONSTITUTION:The captioned apparatus is equipped with a shut-off enabled pump 2, a brake apparatus 11 which shuts-off the pump 2 for a certain time with rising temperature after a motor 3 is started, and further a means 10 for detecting the temperature of water in the pump 2. Therefore, the starting set temperature necessary for freezing prevention is detected, and the motor 3 for driving the pump 2 is driven through the control apparatus 11, and then the pump 2 is shut-off for a certain time until the temperature reaches the suspension temperature within the allowable max. water-temperature for the pump 2 or the temperature detector 10 of the pump 2 detects the suspension set temperature, and thus, temperature rising operation is permitted. Thus, even if the pump is left in suspension state in an environment below freezing temperature, the water in the pump 2 can be prevented from freezing. |
