PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration in the activity of an electrode, by providing an internal liquid flowing channel in which an internal liquid of an electrode is flowable in contact relation to the electrode and a flowing means for flowing the internal liquid through said electrode. CONSTITUTION:A system containing a substance to be detected is spaced apart from the flowline of an internal liquid approaching an acting electrode 2 by a polymer diaphragm 5. That is, an extermely slight gap 6 is formed between the surface of the polymer diaphragm 5 and the surface of the acting electrode 2 and forms a flow channel 6 of the internal liquid along with a reference electrode 3 and an opposed electrode 4 made of a metal tube functioning as the flowline of the internal liquid. The internal liquid is quantitatively sent out from an internal liquid tank 9 by a pump 111 and passed through the internal liquid flowing channel 6 and the interior of the tubular opposed electrode 4 to be again returned to the internal liquid tank 9 by a pump 112. As mentioned above, the deterioration in the activity of the electrode with the elapse of time can be effectively prevented. |
