<p>PURPOSE:To attain synchronous operation of plural recording and reproducing devices by controlling a reproducing speed based on a mutual correlation function of reproducing signals of the same information. CONSTITUTION:Similar sound signals a1, a2 are reproduced from a VTR1 and an ATR2. The sound signals a1, a2 are converted into envelope signals l1, l2 at sound signal processing sections 3, 3' and then applied to a correlation meter 5 via A/D converters 4, 4' respectively. Further, the correlation meter 5 detects a position on a time axis of a maximum value of the mutual correlation function between both signals, i.e., a difference of running time of the VTR1 and the ATR2. A controller 6 receiving the result of detection controls the reproducing speed of the ATR2 so as to make the difference of running time zero. Thus, the synchronous operation of plural recording and reproducing devices is attained.</p> |
