PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of a tachometer generator by obtaining a speed signal from the field current and the armature voltage of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 26 inputs a motor current signal IM and an armature counterelectromotive force signal VM, calculates S=(IM+IMO).VM/phiO.IM (where IMO, phiO are constants) to produce approximate speed signal S to an actual speed. A controller 28 controls the operation necessary to an electric motor vehicle in response to the speed signal. In this manner, the speed of the motor can be detected in necessary accuracy without providing a tachometer generator. |
