The present invention addresses the problems of providing an oily food which has good shape retention, melts easily in the mouth, and inhibits oils and fats from being exuded even when fats and oils having a high heavy chain fatty acid content with respect to the total amount of constituent fatty acids are used, and also providing a method for preparing the oily food. The present invention relates to an oily food having a water content of 0.8-3 mass% and including oils and fats and saccharides, wherein the oils and fats include triacylglycerol containing a heavy chain fatty acid. The present invention also relates to an oily food having a heavy chain fatty acid content of 20 mass% or higher with respect to the total amount of constituent fatty acids. Further, the present invention relates to an oily food having a behenic acid content of 4 mass% or lower with respect to the total amount of constituent fatty acids. |
