PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording material improved in coatability and workability, by coating a substrate with ferromagnetic powder treated with an amino-contg silane coupling agent and an org. olygomer, together with an org. binder. CONSTITUTION:The ferromagnetic powder treated with the amino-contg. silane- coupling agent is further treated with a urethane type org. olygomer having 500-8,000mol.wt. or an epoxy type org. olygomer, and applied to the substrate together with the org. binder. As the usable magnetic powder, acicular fine gamma- Fe2O3, Fe3O4, CrO2 and such metal oxides, Co-coated or Co-doped gamma-Fe2O3 and such worked gamma-Fe2O3, and iron powder, etc. are exemplified. An amt. of org. binder is about 15-60pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. magnetic powder. |
