To prevent so-called standing waves in the case of parallel wall surfaces of conventional loudspeaker enclosures, an asymmetric enclosure form is implemented which results from the application of non-parallel wall surfaces. This contributes to a decisive improvement in the quality of reproduction and to an increase in the efficiency. By splitting the enclosure into components as shown in the example of an application, an influence of the natural vibrations of the loudspeaker enclosure on other tone ranges can be prevented, although the invention also relates to all other types of loudspeaker box construction having a uniform enclosure design.
