The invention relates to a tonic which is intended to have antibiotic, antibacterial and viricidal properties and is to be used in human and veterinary medicine. In place of the previous use of sugars, honey, pectins and organic nitrogen compounds, the invention proposes a tonic which is characterised by a solution consisting of 0.5 to 60 parts by weight of, preferably, 20% strength propolis extract, 10 to 85 parts by weight of syrup, especially sugar beet syrup, 2 to 50 parts by weight of water and flavourings, as well as emulsifiers which are to be produced, in particular, from higher fatty acids, as well as antioxidants. |
