PURPOSE:To improve a machining speed and machining precision by providing a machining liquid splash prevention umbrella at or above an upper guide so as to limit the splash outside the machining tank due to an increase of the liquid pressure and flow quantity of the machining liquid within a narrow range. CONSTITUTION:A rear cover 30 is fixed with screws to a head portion 28 supporting a wire guide 14. A rubber curtain 34 is inserted into the rear cover 30 and a front cover 32 respectively and is suspended to cover a work from the side so that it can be replaced depending on the thickness of the work 10. Even when the splash of a machining liquid 18 sprayed on the end surface of the work 10 is voilent, the directly upward and lateral splash of the machining liquid 18 in hitting the work 10 can be suppressed within a narrow range by means of a splash prevention umbrella made of front and rear covers 32, 30 and a rubber curtain 34. |
