PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure moisture with good accuracy and to eliminate a pyridine odor, by containing iodine or an iodine compound, sulfur dioxide, specific amine, chloroform and specific polyhydric alcohol or an ether compound thereof. CONSTITUTION:A Karl Fischer coulometric titration electrolyte is constituted by containing iodine or an iodine compound, sulfur dioxide, amine represented by formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a pyridyl group or a pyrrodinyl group) of formula II [wherein R<3>-R<10> are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and (m) is 1-5], chloroform and polyhydric alcohol represented by formula III [wherein R<11> and R<12> are a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and (n) is 2-3] or an ether compound thereof. |
