PURPOSE:To apply suitable compensation even to a low and a high frequency at the same time, by providing a frequency characteristic to an amplitude of a video signal applied to a phase modulator. CONSTITUTION:A video input signal is distributed into two at a distributor 4 and led to an amplitude modulator 1 and a distributor 11. The signal distributed into two at the distributor 11 passes through a low pass filter 12, a high pass filter 13 and an attenuator 14 respectively, and is synthesized at a synthesizer 15, then applied to the phase modulator 16. A carrier signal subject to the amplitude modulation at the amplitude modulator 1 passes through a VSB filter 2, a phase modulator 16 and a power amplifier 3 and led as an output signal of a transmitter. |
