The invention concerns a method for preparing a product in particular for preventing and curing skin diseases, and the resulting product. Said method of preparation consists in using a natural extract of sodium alginate and submitting said extract to at least of depolymerising treatment. Such a product contains chain formations of oligoalginates and uronic acids. The invention is useful in particular for treating skin rash, symptoms of allergy to cosmetic compositions, and to ageing skin effects.
