In the venetian blind, at least two cords (18, 20) in each case pass through a number of slats. With the blind down, the slats are held by means of at least two cords (18, 20) extending transverse to the first longitudinal edges (12) of the slats (11) and at least two cords (18, 20) extending transverse to the other longitudinal edges (13) of the slats (11), these cords (18, 20) being provided with loops (19, 21) arranged at regular intervals. Each loop (19, 21) is in this case secured on one of the associated longitudinal edges (12, 13) by means of a clip-like securing part (22). In order to considerably facilitate the assembly of the blind prior to installation and the replacement of a defective slat (11) in the installed blind, a hook is formed on the ridge of each securing part (22), which hook is intended to receive one of the loops (19, 21) and can be brought into the closed position and open position by bending. <IMAGE>
