PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict a side lobe without increasing the count of elements of a wave transmitter-receiver when an ultrasonic wave measurement is conducted. SOLUTION: In an ultrasonic wave transmitter-receiver 10, ultrasonic waves are transmitted with the utilization of one or a plurality of transmitting elements 12a, and reflected waves are received by a plurality of receiving elements 14a. A plurality of received signals are filtered by a plurality of kinds of image formation filters, so that a plurality of image formation results are obtained. The plurality of image formation filters are set so that azimuth gain characteristics other than in a principal azimuth are different from one another. An integrating processing part 24 compares the plurality of image formation results thereby to judge and restrict a side lobe. |
