PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the position of the transfer of a toner image to a recording sheet without needing manual operation and to ensure accuracy in the position of the transfer of the toner image through the adjustment, in an image forming device of such a type that it transfers the toner image to the recording sheet held on a transfer drum. SOLUTION: An amount of the displacement of the position where the recording sheet 30 is attracted to the transfer drum 31 is grasped by actually measuring, by means of a jam sensor 39a, disposed around the transfer drum 31, the time required for the recording sheet 30, carried out from a resist roll 48 to the transfer drum 31, to be detected by the jam sensor 39a, and then by comparing the actually-measured time required for the carrying and the ideal time required for the carrying. Based on the grasping, the device automatically corrects the timing of the start of driving the resist roller 48, the timing of the start of writing an electrostatic latent image onto a photoreceptive drum 20, and the timing of the application of a transfer voltage to a transfer corotron 42. |
