PURPOSE:To prevent invasion of water into the inside of the disc, oxidation and crack of the recording film, and peeling and the like damage by perfectly sealing the inner and outer circumferential ends of the disc. CONSTITUTION:When the sealing agent 6 is not used, water intrudes from the outside through an adhesive layer 5 into the hollow part of the disc. To prevent the intrusion of the water into the inside of the disc, the sealing agent is filled on the part of the layer 5 in contact with the outside air. As the material of the sealing agent 6, 6', various metals, semiconductors, oxides, sulfides, polyvinylidene chloride, paraffin waxes, and the combination of said films, a multilayer of them, or a mixture of them are used. As the method of sealing said sealing agents, vapor deposition in vacuum and in ionized gases, sputtering, coating, melt coating, plasma polymn., etc. are usable. |
