PURPOSE:To provide a small-type print correcting mechanism capable of being used for a long period of time, by a method wherein a misprint-correcting wheel with a correcting liqud applied thereto is provided on a carriage for a group of type wheels adjacently to the type wheels. CONSTITUTION:In the type wheel group 6, a plurality of type wheels 5 each of which is provided with a plurality of type parts 5a projected on the outside periphery thereof are arranged in parallel in the axial direction of a type shaft. The correcting wheel 7 provided with a correcting liquid applied part 7a obtained by impregnating or coating the outside periphery with a correcting liquid such as a white ink is provided adjacently and in parallel to the type wheel group 6, and is spline-connected to the shaft 2 together with the type wheel group 6. An ink roller 8 is provided oppositely to the type wheel group 6, while a roller 9 for applying the correcting liqud such as a white ink is provided oppositely to the correcting wheel 7, and all of them are supported by the carriage 10 and are slidden in the axial direction of the shaft 2. When correcting a misprint, the correcting wheel 7 is moved and faced to a misprinted position, and a hammer 17 is driven. |
