PURPOSE:To obtain a sublimation-transferred pattern with favorable luster while preventing aluminum from being oxidized, by a method wherein a heat-resistant resin layer is provided on an aluminum surface of a polyester film having aluminum vapor-deposited thereon, and then a pattern is sublimation-transferred onto a polyester surface. CONSTITUTION:A vapor-deposited aluminum layer 2 having a thickness of 400- 1,000Angstrom is provided on one side of the polyester film 1, thereafter an oxidation- preventing heat-resistant resin layer 3 of a cellulose derivative (e.g., nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose), an epoxy resin, a phenolic resin, a melamine resin, an unsaturated polyester resin or the like is provided thereon by coating, and then a pattern is sublimation-transferred onto the polyester surface 1 so that a dye is permeated into the polyester to form a pattern. although the material is heated to 80-220 deg.C to transfer the dye through sublimation, evaporation or fusion at the time of sublimation transfer, the presence of the heat-resistant resin layer 3 ensures that aluminum is not oxidized and the metallic luster is maintained. |
