发明名称 ELECTRODE WIRE FOR WIRE-CUT ELECTRO-DISCHARGE MACHINING
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve a state of finishing surfaces on a workpiece as an electrode wire having improvements in the speed of electro-discharge machining as well as being less in a sticking quantity to the workpiece, by forming those of Zn, Al, Zr and Cu into an alloyed wire at a specific ratio of these elements. CONSTITUTION:Cu is fused in a graphite crucible, then the melten metal surface is added with Zr by a mother alloy in a state of being covered with charcoal and fully fused by rising temperature higher. Afterward, the molten metal is calmed and Al is added, obtaining an ingot composed of Zn 10.0-40.0wt%, Al 0.3- 3.0wt%, Zr 0.3-2.0wt% and the rest of Cu. With this, the electrode wire is excellent in the speed of electro-discharge machining as compared with any other conventional electrode wire as well as a sticking quantity to a workpiece is well reduced.
