PURPOSE:To enable mud-like material with a constant concentration to be drawn up continuously and transferred by merely installing a dilution means for the liquid to be pumped up in a mud-like material transfer device. CONSTITUTION:In case that the liquid to be pumped up shows an excessive high concentration, clean water near a water surface level WL is injected into a lower opening of an immersed cylinder 4 through a nozzle ring 21, hose 23 and water feeding pipe 19 under an operation of a dilution pump 22 to cause the flowing mud-like material to be diluted and a concentration of the pumped-up liquid sucked in a pump 5 is recovered to an appropriate value. In this way, upon termination of the pumping-up of one mud-like layer 14 in the bottom of a pond, the immersed cylinder 4 is lifted up once to an appropriate level under an operation of a chain block 11, thereafter a pumping-up location is moved to its adjoining location under an operation of a rope etc. having a float 2 linked thereto, then the pumping-up operation is continuously repeatd, resulting in that the mud-like material layer 14 can be pumped up and removed while the concentration of pumped-up liquid is kept at its proper constant value. |
