PURPOSE:A cosmetic composition to which hydrogenated lecithin is added as an emulsifier to improve feeling on use and irritation to skins as well as markedly improve the defects of natural lecithin in stabilities of color and odor. CONSTITUTION:Hydrogenated lecithin is added as an emulsifier to give a cosmetic composition such as cream. The resultant composition gives a fresh and moist feeling just like lecithin, but no irritation to skins, moreover the hydrogenated lecithin is more stable than lecithin to facilitate the addition of a required amount without defects in color and odor. The amount of the above emulsifier is, in case of cream, more than 0.25%, preferably more than 1% calculated as the hydrogenated lecithin, i.e., phospholipid 100% and the iodine value is preferably less than 30 from stability point of view. |
