PURPOSE:To reduce the noise of air flow by providing a vent guide in an air inflow passage. CONSTITUTION:A stator frame 44 is formed in a square of section, and an upper end bracket 48 which supports a bearing housing 46 is secured to the upper end of the frame 44. Air incoming covers 50, 52, 54 are respectively mounted on three sides of four sides at the upper end of the frame 44, and a cover 56 which forms an air incoming passage 68 is formed on the other side. The passage 68 formed of the cover 56 is suitably formed to bend the atmospheric air introduced into the passage 68 via a vent guide plate 70 which is mounted at the upper end of an air cooler 60 and to guide the air into an air cooler 60. The passage 68 is formed of an air incoming guide plate 72 which is mounted at the inlet side on a reinforcing arm 18, this air incoming guide plate 72 is bent downwardly to cover the periphery of an outer blade fan 34, thereby feeding the atmospheric air smoothly to the passage 68. |
