PURPOSE:To secure priority transfer and to assess priority in a short time by comparing priority before token transfer, and passing a token to a station which holds data with top priority. CONSTITUTION:After transmitting data, a token holding station ST1 sends out a reference signal which indicates the head of a priority frame for comparing the priorities of transmit data that stations hold. Then, the priority of the transmitting station is sent with a time slot. The stations ST2-STn, once receiving the reference signal, send their priorities with respective time slots. After the transmission of the priorities from the respective stations ST, the token holding station ST1 sends a token packet to a transmission line 1 together with the station address of the station which has the top priority as an address to press the right of transmission to the station. |
