PURPOSE:To maintain stabilized operation and to prevent data from vanishing due to sudden power failure, by detecting the sudden power failure from the change of the higher value of electric power source voltage, and transmitting the previous data of various kinds to respective registers of controlled circuit when the detection signal is sent to a controlling circuit. CONSTITUTION:A controlling device 1 of a television receiver is composed of a controlling circuit 2 of IC, a controlled circuit 3 and an electric power source device 4 for supplying electric power to the circuits 2 and 3. The circuit 2 processes a remote control signal and a key input signal, controls the circuit 3 and a PLL tuner 5 and transmits various controlling information such as channel and sound volume to registers 23-25 in the circuit 3. The controlling device 1 is provided with a sudden power failure detecting circuit 42 and refresh signal generating circuit 43, and the circuit 42 detects the sudden failure of the electric power source by detecting the change of the higher voltage value of the device 4. The detection signal is supplied to the circuit 2 via the circuit 43, and the circuit 2 inputted by the detection signal transmits various data, which has been previously sent out, to registers 23-25 of the circuit 3. |
