PURPOSE:To check connected terminal speedily by performing successive access to address which increases by one when a sentback signal is present or decreases by one when not, and verifying the number of connected terminal again. CONSTITUTION:One sent-back signal is monitored and when there is not sent- back signal from an accessed address and no terminal is connected, the number of accessed address is decreased by one and the obtained address is accessed to monitor a sent-back signal. When there is the sent-back signal, it is judged that the number of terminal equipment stored in a storage part 6 is not changed, and normal processing is advanced. When the sent-back signal is not returned to the contrary, the access address is decreased by one successively to verify the number of connected terminal equipment and the number of the terminal stored in the storage part 6 is rewritten. If the sent-back signal is returned on access to an address during repowering-on operation, the access address is increased by one successively and the access is carried on until the sent-back signal is not returned any more to verify the maximum number of terminal equipment. Then the value of the verification is stored in the storage part 6 and then the normal processing is advanced. |
