PURPOSE:To execute separation which is scarcely influenced by an environmental variation, by providing an electric conductor roll which is rotate-driven in the opposite direction to a photoreceptor and is electrically insulated, between a separating charger and the photoreceptor. CONSTITUTION:A separating charger 7 is constituted of a slender and conductive casing 11 having an opening part 10 in the part opposed to a photoreceptor 1, a charger wire 12 placed around the center of the inside of this casing 11, and a high voltage power supply device 13 whose one end and other end are connected to the charger wire 12 and are grounded, respectively, in order to execute corona discharge between this wire 12 and the photoreceptor 1, and on the opening part 10, a round rod-like electric conductor roll 14 is provided in its longitudinal direction. The electric conductor roll 14 is positioned between the charger wire 12 and the photoreceptor 1, and is electrically insulated from other member such as the casing 11, etc. by insulating materials 15, 16. In this state, the electric conductor roll 14 is rotated at the same peripheral speed in the opposite direction to the photoreceptor 1. |
