In order to improve an evaporation device, especially one made of plastic, for insecticides and/or other volatile active ingredients, comprising a perforated housing and a gas-tight covering with enclosed active ingredients, the active ingredients being releasable from the covering in a contactless manner through an opener located on the housing and, in addition, a carrier which absorbs the active ingredients emerging from the opened covering and has evaporation surfaces for the active ingredients facing the housing perforations being arranged in the housing, in such a way that higher functional reliability is achievable while retaining the advantages already reached in the prior art and with simplification of the device, the active ingredient covering (4) comprises a well-like, dimensionally stable covering part (8) whose opening is of collar-shaped design and is covered by a perforatable film (10). <IMAGE>
