PURPOSE:To perform correction for the most suitable position of a shadow mask by using a reversible shape memorizing alloy for a frame supporting body and giving transformation according to the kind of a tube to be set up in a color picture tube using a shadow mask as a color selection electrode. CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask supporting body 30 is made of a so-called reversible shape memorizing alloy. A frame supporting structure 3C is formed by punching or the like, then shaped by bent processing at the parts as shown by 26 and 30C while being heated up to about 50-200 deg.C for being given stress. When, for example, stress is given for making the spot 30a to be curved, a good result can be obtained. When thereby temperature rises by hitting the shadow mask 11 and the frame 12 by an electron beam, the part 30a of the frame supporting structure 30 curves to this direction vertically to a sheet. As a result, the frame supporting structure 30b generates the force of transforming the part 30d in the arrow direction 29. Consequently, the shadow mask 11 and the frame 12 move in the direction approaching a screen 6 thus being able to correct a color mixture due to thermal transformation. |
