The invention relates to a surfboard or windsurfing board, consisting of fore section, centre section and, if appropriate, aft section which are detachably connected to one another, the individual sections having end faces adapted to one another in the area of the joints. So that such a board can be adapted in a simple manner to different wind and/or water conditions or users skilled to a different extent, the centre section has on one side a surface curved in the direction of the transverse axis for displacement sailing and on the other side an essentially flat surface for skimming, while the connecting elements at the joints are arranged symmetrically to the longitudinal axis.
