PURPOSE:To allow an arm to trace an eccentric center by generating an arm feed signal when two consecutive sampled values or above sampled from an error voltage from a tracking error detection means by a sampling means represent a tracking error. CONSTITUTION:A sampling pulse P4 is inputted to the interruption terminal 13a of a control microcomputer 13 to sample a bipolar signal from a voltage comparison circuit 12. The sampled value is stored sequentially in the memory of a control microcomputer 13 and at least >=2 values are read in time series as an error deciding data. The control microcomputer 13 decides the data to be an error due to the eccentricity, when the sampled values all represent an error (e.g., positive polarity), and generates a pulse P1 based on an arm feed drive signal. Since the feeding is stopped at a position nearly between the eccentricity quantity, the arm is positioned always at the eccentric center and the arm feeding with high accuracy is realized.
