PURPOSE:To provide a Fresnel transformed hologram which does not require the use of any lens for the purpose of image reproduction and is expressed binary and a method for forming said hologram. CONSTITUTION:A hologram is formed by subjecting the input data of an object picture image to Fresnel transformation by using a computer, calculating the intensity of the combined wave of the Fresnel transformed value and predetermined data on reference wave by using both, recording the calculated data on the combined wave in the dot of the area corresponding to the intensity of the combined wave in the corresponding coordinate position on recording paper by a dot recorder, and reducing the recording recorded paper with the data on the intensity of the combined wave by photographic copying. Said recording is reduced preferably down to about 0.1X0.1mm. size of each picture element on the hologram. Since the intensity of the calculated combined wave is expressed by the area of the dot in such a way, the binary-expressed Fresnel transformed hologram is formed. Since the reference wave is used, the hologram formed is approximate to the Fresnel transformed hologram formed by using an optical system. |
