PURPOSE:To realize the exchange of wide band signals sent and received between multifunction terminals with light as it is, by utilizing a wavelength selection switch and wavelength conversion switch. CONSTITUTION:Signals, which are converted to optical signals of the wavelength of lambda1-lambda4 from the input signals of input terminals 151-154 and multiplexed by a multiplex circuit 133, are inputted to input light waveguides 100-102. At the intersection point of input light waveguides 100-102 and output light waveguides 103-105, wavelength selection switches 106-114 are installed to constitute the first channel switch. A link connecting the first switch and second channel switch composed of wavelength selection switches 124-132 in the same manner is equipped with light conversion switches 115-117. A light selection switch can switch an optional one of light signals of wavelength of lambda1-lambda4, and a light conversion switch can perform conversion between the wavelength of lambda1-lambda4. Signals from terminals 151-154 are exchanged and connected to an optional one of output light wave guides 121-123 with a light signal of the wavelength of lambda1-lambda4 and outputted to one of output terminals 155-158. |
