ELECTROSTRICTIVE EFFECT ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To obtain large electrostrictive effect by impressing low voltages and improve adhesion property by a method wherein internal electrode plates mixed with the calcined powder of electrostrictive material in less than a specific weight % are laminated by being sandwiched between each of the electrostrictive material films. CONSTITUTION:The electrostrictive material films or thin plates 1 and internal electrode plates 2 and 2' are laminated and formed into the form of laminated chip condenser. The internals electrode plates 2 and 2' are formed of metallic films mixed with the calcined powder of electrostrictive material in less than 60% by weight. By mixing of this calcined powder, the adhesion density between the internal electrode plates 2 and 2' and the electrostrictive material film or the thin film 1 increases remarkably, and accordingly the element is not electrically broken down even in long time drive at large amplitudes.
