PURPOSE:To raise the rate of operation of a computer system, by discriminating whether control of an electric power supply part of a subordinate device and its logical signal part is in the same sequence or not, and inhibiting turn-on of an electric power supply of the subordinate device concerned in case when it is not in the same sequence. CONSTITUTION:In case when for instance, a signal line shown by a broken line makes a subordinate device 3' a starting point and makes a closed loop which passes through a signal cable 15', a higher rank device 1' and a PCI cable 9', and reaches the subordinate device 3', the data input/output processing sequence and the electric power supply control sequence are in the same sequence, therefore, the electric power supply can be controlled as usual. However, in case when the signal line shown by the broken line makes a subordinate device 5' a starting point, passes through a signal cable 17', the higher rank device 1', the PCI cable 9', the subordinate device 3' and a PCI cable 10', does not reach the subordinate device 5', and makes no closed loop, the data input/output processing sequence and the electric power supply sequence are not in the same sequence, therefore, the electric power supply cannot be controlled at all. |
