PURPOSE:To decrease the number of switches and to make an input device compact, by replacing a book with a dot matrix display which is not a mechanical type, and a selecting key corresponding to a page. CONSTITUTION:A display pattern generator 4 stores in advance a pattern of a character displayed on n-number of dot matrix displays, and displays a pattern on a display 8 through a display driver 5 as necessary. When the i-th key in a selecting key set 6 is selected, its signal is inputted by a digital input device 3, and is sent to the generator 4. As a result, n-number of patterns of the i-th line are selected from a display pattern array of mXn, and can be displayed on n- number of displays 8, respectively. In this case, when an input key 9 which makes a pair with the j-th display is depressed, its signal is inputted to a computer through the digital input device. |
