PURPOSE:To improve the insulating withstand strength of a rotor coil without increasing the stress and temperature of a coil conductor by providing the second slot armor between the vicinity of the wedge of the first slot armor of U- shaped section and a slot. CONSTITUTION:The first slot armor 2a of U-shaped section which is opened at the outer peripheral side of a rotor is provided in a slot 3 of a rotor core 5, a coil conductor 4 is inserted into the slot 3, and a wedge 1 which holds the conductor 4 through a creepage block 6 is provided at the opening of the slot 3. The second slot armor 2b is provided between the first slot armor 2a in the vicinity of the wedge 1 and the slot 3,and the thickness of the upper slot armor of the slot 3 is increased. In this manner the damage of the creeping insulator which feasibly occur at the upper part of the slot 3 can be prevented. |
