PURPOSE:To improve the power efficiency remarkably, by switching a complementary circuit to which a high or a low voltage is impressed automatically selectively in response to the level of an output voltage to a reference voltage and reducing the size of a radiator and a transformer. CONSTITUTION:Transistors (TR) 20, 38 tend to be switched on at a positive half cycle of the amplified output, but when an output voltage produced with a load resistor 28 and an output current of a power supply 46 is a voltage +E2 of a reference set power supply 66 or below, switching TRs 58, 62 are turned on and off respectively and the base and the emitter of the TR 20 connected to a high voltage power supply 24 are short-circuited, then the TR 20 is turned off and a current from a low voltage power supply 46 is applied to a load resistor 28 mainly through the TR 38 and an emitter resistor 42. Inversely when the output voltage is a voltage +E2 of the power supply 66 or over, a current from the high voltage power supply 24 is applied through the TR 20 and an emitter resistor 26 mainly. |
