PURPOSE:To easily perform maintenance and inspection work further discharge water always to the downstream side, by installing a generator and water conduit external pipe to the outside of a water conduit region while communicating a water conduit of the water conduit external pipe to a draft water conduit when a gate closes an open water conduit. CONSTITUTION:A generator 40 and a water conduit external pipe 14 are externally installed of a water conduit region to the outside of a gate 12, and a bottom end opening of the pipe 40, when the gate 12 closes an open water conduit 11, is water-tightly contacted with a start end part 51c of a draft water conduit 50, extensibly provided to a bed of the conduit 11 and guiding a water conduit to the downstream side of the conduit 11, then the water conduit in the pipe 14 is communicated to the conduit 50. In this way, even at repair work when a water turbine geneating unit 10 is in failure, the unit 10 can be lifted with the gate 12 above a surface of water to ensure a responsible discharge of water to the downstream side, further easy access to each equipment set to the peripheral area of the water conduit external pipe can facilitate maintenance and inspection work. |
