PURPOSE:To prevent scattering of coal dust through pouring of water on a heap of coal uniformly under every wind velocity by controlling operation of draining device provided around said coal depot, correspondingly to wind velocity in an outdoor coal depot to prevent scattering of coal dust of said coal depot. CONSTITUTION:Draining devices are appropriately provided on the ground around a heap of coal and perform sprinkling according to a program preestablished for different wind directions, that is, at the time of light wind, water is directly poured fanwise on a heap of coal by means of No.1-No.12 sprinkling devices from a sprinkling nozzle maintained at preset angle of elevation. In case the wind is in the direction of an arrow A under high wind condition, a curtain of water facing a heap of coal is formed by means of sprinkling devices No.1, No.2, No.7, No.8 on the windward side with the nozzles held about vertical, and sprinkling is performed with scattered water taking advantage of a favorable wind. At this time, sprinkling devices No.3, No.4, No.9, No.10 may be operated either by the direct pouring mode or by a scattering mode, while sprinkling devices No.5, No.6, No.11, No.12 on the leeward may stop sprinkling. |
