Arrangement for providing suspension for bogey locomotives

When fast bogey locomotives travel around bends it is important that the bogey adopts an approximately radial position with respect to the bend in the track since otherwise the wear on the wheel profiles increases. Proposals for the special arrangement of the customary springs and/or of additional springs are made so that even in the case of transverse deflection and/or rocking deflection of the locomotive superstructure the transverse forces acting on the bogey wheels on the outside of the bend are of approximately the same size.
