The revolving beaters (8) of a mill are attached to the mill shaft (1) in gaps (6) between hub rings (7) formed in the mill shaft (1) and are held by hub bolts (11). The hub bolts (11) pass through mutually aligned bores in the beaters (8) and the hub rings (7), and extend over several hub rings (7). The hub rings (11) are provided with radial notches (12) at a mutual spacing corresponding to the spacing of the beaters (8) in the direction of the mill shaft (1), the length of which notches corresponding approximately to the thickness of the beaters (8) in the region of the gaps (6). The bores in the beaters are formed as laterally open bores (13) with a cross-section fitting the cross-section of the notches (12) in the hub bolts (11). <IMAGE>
