<p>The seat adjustment mechanism serves to adjust the seat angle. The centre of gravity of the user in the axis of the chair support spindle is independent of the angle ALPHA of the seat surface in relation to this axis. The seat is displaceable along a curve whose centre lies in the centre of gravity of the user. This curve is defined by the formula L = R.TAN(ALPHA) with L the horizontal displacement of the seat, the radius from the centre of gravity of the user to the plane of displacement and ALPHA displacement angle in relation to the vertical axis through the centre of gravity. The displacement is determined by a control plate whose surface forms with the horizontal an angle to produce the curved displacement of the seat during the circulating movement of the control plate.</p> |
