To broaden the range of use of an appliance having implements for the depth loosening (10, 11) of arable soil (E) and implements (9, 9a) for tilling the soil horizon, the additional mounting of a flail-type mulching attachment (49, 49a) is provided. The flail shaft together with the housing (52, 53) is articulated on the basic appliance by means of pivoting arms (48). For easy mounting and dismounting, the connection points (59, 60) of the arms (48) are designed as quick-action fastenings.
