PURPOSE:To work a small diameter and short metallic material to a shape which has a stepped part on the way and whose both ends are parallel, by inserting and holding the said material by a fixed chuck and a moving chuck, pressing it by bending tools of both outsides of the chuck, and executing its bend-working. CONSTITUTION:A small diameter and short metallic material 1 is set at a correct position on a fixed chuck 21 while confirming its position by a sensor 14. Subsequently, the metallic material 1 is fixed firmly on the fixed chuck 21 by a moving chuck 22, and thereafter both end parts 1', 1'' are bend-worked by pressing them firmly by two bending tools 24, 24' having a lance-like tip part 23 consisting of a sintered hard material, and lastly, the moving chuck 22 and both bending tools 24, 24' are drawn back simultaneously. In this way, a metallic work whose both ends 1', 1'' are parallel and which has a stepped part between them can be formed easily. |
