PURPOSE:To facilitate handling of a wrapt plate in a welding process of an electrode plate group or in their insertion process into a container, and to prevent coming off of active mass near the both sides of a plate and side short by sponge lead. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive 2 is applied on one surface or both surfaces of both sides of a plate 1 with a adhesive coating apparatus 4. This plate is placed on a separator 3 at a specified space, and a separator 3' is supplied on the surface. Both sides of the plate 1 are pressed from the upper surface of the separator 3' with a press and cutting machine 5 to bond separators 3 and 3' to the plate 1. The separators 3 and 3' are bonded by the adhesive 2 which is extruded, with the plate 1 interposed. The separators 3 and 3' are cutted in the center between plates to obtain a wrapt plate 6 having separators 3 and 3' in both surfaces of the plate 1. |
