PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance the quality of a recording image, by interposing a degassing apparatus for detecting the stored amount of air separated from a recording ink to carry out discharge between an ink tank and an ink head to remove air mixed in the recording ink. CONSTITUTION:The ink in an ink tank 1 is sent out through a filter 2 by a supply pump 3 and passed through an accumulator 4, a degassing apparatus 10, a solenoid valve 5 and a filter 6 to reach a head 7 where scattered as ink droplets 8 from the nozzle of an ink head 7 corresponding to an image signal to record a printing image on a recording medium 9. In the aforementioned degassing apparatus 10, the ink 18 sent through a tube is sent into an air bubble collecting chamber 11 from the ink inflow port 14 thereof. The air bubbles in the ink 18 are accumulated to the upper part in the ink collecting chamber 11 by buoyancy and the accumulated air 19 is detected in the amount thereof by detecting the surface level of the ink 18 by a float meter 12 and, when the amount thereof reaches a preset amount, it is discharged to the outside by the up-and-down movement of a piston 13 and the opening and closing operation of a solenoid valve 16. |
