PURPOSE:To prevent a ghost interference wave at a TV receiver effectively, by counting the number of synchronizing signals having a half of 1H period in period, and generating a reference signal for ghost interference reduction when the counted value reaches a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing separation circuit 31 extracts only a synchronizing signal using 1/2H as the period from a TV picture signal. The number of the synchronizing signals using the 1/2H as the period is counted at a counter 43. A decoder 44 discriminates whether or not a reference signal 440 is generated in the correct timing, based on the result of counting, and when the timing is correct, the initial value of the counter 43 is switched into a consecutive integer at each one vertical period. Further, when the counter 43 counts the synchronizing signal using the 1/2H period as the period for a prescribed number, the reference signal 440 for ghost interference reduction is obtained. |
