<p>The lift has a manually actuated brake to return it to ground in case of breakdown controlled from inside the cabin. The brake has cords on the cabin roof and acts on one of them. The brake can be freed and reaction on the other cord turns the lift top pulley (2) to move the cabin. A lever on the pivot (3) of one brake shoe (4) supports a shaft (5) with a roller (6) and grooved pulley (7), over which runs a cord (8) and a return pulley (9) carries another cord (10). Another lever arm (11) on a pivot (12) acts on a brake release pedal (13).</p> |
